Check This Out. It’s Friday!

Dear Dudes:

On Fridays I post on a blog called "Challenging the Gnome." Two very cool friends and I started it to help us figure out creativity, life, conquering fears, and whatever else flips our cookies. My partners, Maegan and Russo, are mighty fine, funny, and insightful women, and I am . . .  well . . . me. πŸ™‚

For today's Life in Bits post, I'd like to invite you to pop on over to Gnomes and read my take on Writer's Block and Banana Nut Muffins. There's even a recipe attached. AND, if you want to know why we called the blog "Challenging the Gnome," there's a tab at the top called "Why Gnomes?" which explains it.

ALso, I received a lot–I am talking a LOT–of pressure to post the video of me doing the Raindrop Impersonation. I posted a clip of someone else doing it here in my Wednesday post (below), and it just wasn't enough for the American public. I mean, I was buried in requests.

Um. Okay. Well, there was one comment.

And it was kind of a passing comment on how it might be fun to see said clip of me going all precipitation on you. BUT THERE WAS A LOT OF PRESSURE IN IT, OKAY? It was from Maegan. She said:

"Awwww, I kinda wanted to see your raindrop impression *sad face*"

See? See the pressure? And so, because Maegan insisted, and because she is my friend, here is my impersonation of a raindrop. (And while my raindrop-form is good, I have to say, I think the man-scream employed by the dude in Wednesday's post  is much funnier. On the up side, my kids are really embarrassed by this, so you know, this is  character building for them.):

*sigh* I have no dignity.

My greatest pleasure in life has been raising my four excellent children--some of whom liked me so much that they keep coming back. My second greatest pleasure has been doing whatever I can to make people laugh and create bright moments. I hope to do a bit more good in the world before I go the way of it. And if not, I'd better at least get to spend some serious time writing and singing in a castle somewhere in the UK.

  1. Rob – I wish you had a video of that. πŸ™‚ You always have dignity. If I could see you lose it, I might feel that there is hope for me.

Lynn – THANK YOU! You are so funny. :]
